CRONOS is a brand-spanking-new EVM-compatible network from Crypto.com; a payment and cryptocurrency platform serving over 10 million customers. Their aggressive marketing campaigns are strengthening their position as a household name among casual retail traders, exchange traders and on-chain DeFi traders/yield farmers. We firmly believe Crypto.com has the reach and customer base to bring a new generation of first-time DeFi traders on-chain from retail in much the same way as Binance achieved with BSC. Our medium to long-term expecation is that Cronos will attract a substantial customer base. As well as being faster, cheaper and greener than Ethereum, Cronos also brings innovation by implementing the Inter Blockchain Communications (IBC) protocol. This enables simple interoperability and bridging to the crypto.org chain and other IBC enabled chains such as Cosmos Hub. It also uses Proof of Authority (PoA) for network security; a more effficient and scalable consensus mechanism. ## Why do we need another meme? A new chain needs new heroes. It needs new success stories. We want to see the little guy win, and CRONIC Shiba embodies that spirit. The underdog is going to make it! We have created CRONIC Shiba as a central component in a structured narrative of projects that will launch on Cronos Throughout 2022. We believe entering Cronos here, right at the start - everyone joining us here will have the opportunity to be part of something enormous. We will build a family, a collective, a voice. Closely connected projects will reward CRONIC hodlers, provide insentives and mechanisms to earn or farm other tokens on other platforms. We're focused on reducing our supply through developer burns, buy-back and burns, and community-driven burn mechanics. ## OK I'm in. What's our roadmap look like? This is an approximate agenda of our next steps. FAR more is coming and this page will be updated with progress. As our community grows we will offer up some strategic priorities as proposals on snapshot voting. We're set up with snapshot already. * **CERTIK Audit** We're currently on-boarding with Certik to audit our smart contracts. * **Social media marketing** We're engaged with a number of influencers on Twitter and Instagram in the first instance to start generating awareness of CRONIC. * **Listings** CoinMarketCap, Coin Gecko et al. We will do them all. * **CRODEX Token whitelist** We will apply to have CRONIC whitelisted on Crodex, so we appear in their swap list by default. * **Token Locking** We're working closely with HIBIKI Finance on their token locker. As soon as this product is available for use we will start locking up large parts of the supply that we currently hold. The tokens we hold that are reserved for partnerships, CEX listings, dev allocation and so on will be locked for varying amounts of time to demonstrate as much security and peace of mind to our holders as possible. * **Strategic partnerships** We're already talking to some really exciting potential partners and cannot wait to start making some announcements! ## **Are you going to rug us?** This might seem like a dumb question to try and answer in DeFi. After all, who ever rugged and said they were going to do so beforehand? CRONIC Shiba is developed by Binary Neon. A melting pot of investors, entrepreneurs, traders, software engineers, economists and legal experts. CRONIC is a core aspect of our project pipeline and developing it into a successful token is central to everything we're doing. Some of you will read this and think "yeah that's what everyone who rugs says". We're sorry DeFi demands such cynicism, and in many ways being so cautious isn't a bad thing - but please go easy on the FUD. It is our objective to develop a well known and trusted brand in DeFi. Sooner or later people will learn they can ape whereever they find our name, and know that's it's okay to do so.
